Good practices for leaving a sew-in installed would be 6-8 weeks. We do not suggest leaving your hair untreated for longer than that. Sew Ins are protective styles so they are protecting the real prize, your hair. The sew in is used to keep your hair protected but you do not want to neglect your hair. You want to allow your stylist to take your hair down and wash it properly.
